Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to inaugurate Martyrs’ memorial on June 30th

Addressing the residents of Itikaf City after the Quran Khwani for the departed souls of martyrs on the third anniversary of the Model Town tragedy, Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that those who were entrusted with the responsibility of protecting the lives of the people have become killers and robbers. He said that terrorist groups martyred thousands of people but no one is bothered because their supporters are sitting in the top echelon of power.

Dr Qadri said that loyalty with the blood of the martyrs is part of our faith, adding that we would continue to demand for Qisas till the last breath of our lives. He said that the perpetrators of Model Town remain at large but they would be caught and held answerable.

Thousands of residents of Itikaf who came to attend this spiritual retreat took part in Quran Khwani. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Hammad Mustafa, Fayyaz Warraich, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Rafique Najam, Sardar Shakir Mazari, Sajid Bhatti were also present on the occasion.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that we are demanding the release of the report of Justice Najfi Commission report which was set up by the Punjab Chief Minister himself and he also promised to make its report public. He said that the sacrifices by the PAT workers are for elimination of the system of oppression, adding that their blood will not go waste.

Senior PPP leader Latif Khosa and senior lawyer Ahmad Raza Kasuri met with Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in the Itikaf City and extended their support to PAT on the Model Town tragedy.
